Sealed bids subject to the conditions and provisions presented herein will be received until 10:00 am (CT), April 16, 2026, and then publicly opened and read at City Hall, 112 S 17th Street, Parsons, Kansas, 67357, for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and performing all work necessary to: South Partial Parallel Taxiway.

All proposals must be received at the address indicated herein above prior to the time and date specified for bid opening. Bids received after the specified time and date of the bid opening will be returned unopened. The City of Parsons, Kansas shall not be held responsible or accountable for delays in the delivery of any proposals by the U.S. Postal Service or other courier service.

A non-mandatory prebid conference for this project will be held at 10:00 AM, March 31st, 2026, at the Parsons Tri-City Airport, 163 24000 Rd, Cherryvale, KS 67335.

Contract Work Items.  This project will involve the following work items and estimated quantities. Prospective Bidders are hereby advised that the quantities indicated herein are approximate and are subject to change. (See next page for project quantities)

The primary purpose of this project is to construct a partial parallel taxiway at Parsons Tri-City Airport in Parsons, Kansas. The project is split into two phases, separated by the runway safety area boundary. Work outside of the safety area boundary will be completed to the extent possible while the runway is open. Work within the runway safety area will be completed during periods when the runway is closed. The scope of this design includes the installation of pavement with tie-in at the existing turnaround and Runway 17-35, drainage infrastructure, airfield striping, guidance signs, and new taxiway edge lighting.
