Description


Sealed bids for construction of this project will be received until November 7, 2024, 11 AM at 104 Church Street, Brooklet, Georgia 30415. Any bid received after said time and date will not be considered by the Owner. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. The work shall consist of furnishing all products & equipment & performing all labor necessary to perform the following: Sanitary sewerage system extension including, but not limited to, 22,184 LF 12¿ PVC force main and 4,650 LF 3¿ PVC sewer main using the open cut installation method and 9,650 LF of 12¿ PVC force main and 350 LF of 3¿ PVC sewer main using the horizontal directional drilling method. The project will also include 13 air release valve manholes, connecting to existing manhole, fittings, removing and replacing pavement, erosion and sediment control, and grassing. Time allotted for completion of work is two hundred seventy (270) calendar days. Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents are on file at Parker Engineering, LLC. Copies may be obtained from Parker Engineering, LLC., 36 Courtland Street, Suite B, Statesboro, Georgia 30458, Phone: (912) 764-7722, Email: lindsey@parker-engineering.com, upon payment of $200.00 for each full-size set (non-refundable). The Scope of Work as described herein is defined as ¿utility contracting¿ in accordance with O.C.G.A 43-14-2(17) so the Contractor performing the work must provide proof of a valid license by the State of Georgia as a ¿Utility Contractor¿ & must also employ a ¿Utility Manager¿ certification holder who will have oversight of all the work. See Instruction to Bidders for additional bidding requirements. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier¿s check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid. Funding is to be provided by the American Rescue Plan Act & the City of Brooklet. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive informalities.
