Glock Slide Optic & Sight Installation
Description of Requirement
The Bureau of Indian Affairs, Office of Justice Services is conducting market research to identify qualified small businesses capable of installing Government-furnished Trijicon RMR-HD optics and Ameriglo GL-813 iron sights on Government-furnished Glock 17 Gen 5 and Glock 19 Gen 5 upper slides.
The requirement includes:
•        Assembly and installation in accordance with manufacturer specifications
•        Proper torque application and thread treatment
•        Bore-sighting of each completed slide
•        Secure handling and accountability of Government-furnished firearm components
Estimated Quantity: Approximately 665 slides total (425 Glock 17 and 240 Glock 19).
Vendor Requirements
•        Hold a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL)
•        Be registered and active in SAM.gov
•        Be capable of accepting and returning Government-furnished equipment
•        Performance within the Albuquerque, NM area is preferred but not required. Vendors located outside the area must provide a shipping and handling plan for Government-furnished equipment.
Information Requested from Vendors
•        Company name and SAM UEI
•        FFL type and number
•        Relevant certifications (e.g., Glock Armorer, Trijicon installer)
•        SBA certifications (e.g., ISBEE, SDVOSB, HUBZone, etc.)
•        Applicable NAICS code(s) for this type of service
•        Confirmation of ability to perform within the Albuquerque, NM area (or your location and shipping plan)
•        Brief capability statement describing experience with similar firearm assembly projects
Capability Survey
Briefly describe your technical capability and experience installing pistol-mounted optics and iron sights on duty firearms.
• Provide up to three examples of similar projects (include customer, period of performance, contract number if applicable, and description of work).
• Describe your quality control and accountability procedures for handling Government-furnished firearm components.
