EDR Investment Attraction Online Strategy

Economic Development Regina Inc. (EDR) is the lead agency for economic development for the Greater Regina Area (GRA). EDR’s aim is to promote the GRA as a leading destination for investment, business, and talent.

To complement its existing investment attraction strategy, EDR has identified a need to develop a specific online strategy that will culminate in the development of a sales-oriented website. The objective of the website is to help potential investors and businesses fully understand Regina’s value proposition and provides them with an opportunity to take the first step to pursuing opportunities in Regina.

While EDR’s main website, economicdevelopmentregina.com includes a range of information and resources, including information for potential investors and businesses, it does not meet the needs of those audiences. In its current form, the site includes far more information than is relevant to this audience, making it difficult and unwieldy to navigate. At the same time, it likely lacks specific information and features that investors would find valuable.

Together with its partners, EDR has identified several potential geographic markets for investment attraction activities in 2025 – including but not limited to: US, UK, Germany, Brazil, and India.

Website Strategy

Using its expertise and knowledge of investment attraction, the successful Contractor will aid in the development of Regina’s digital presence for its intended audience. This is likely delivered through the creation of a strategy document, based on research and expertise, accompanied by a work plan with detailed milestones and budget allocation.

Website Design and Content Plan

Based on the approved Website Strategy, the Contractor will provide a website design and content plan for the intended audience (including, but not limited to, messaging, imagery, multimedia, and other components).

Website Development

Working alongside a third-party website development vendor, the Contractor will oversee the development of the website as per the approved Website Design and Content Plan. The Contractor may also wish to recommend additional vendors for EDR to engage in the creation of content based on expertise.
