INTRODUCTION
The City of Waukee is currently considering the replacement of windows at the Sugar Creek Municipal Golf Course Clubhouse located at 1505 6

Street in Waukee Iowa. This project replaces existing windows with a high-quality, double pane vinyl or composite replacement product to improve the weather resistance, comfort and aesthetics of the space. All operable replacement windows will be single-hung or sliding low-e double pane and inoperable replacement windows will be low-e double pane. Emissivity values of 15% or less are considered low-e. Specified replacement product must provide a minimum of 10 years warranty against insulated pane failure and 20 years warranty for materials and workmanship. Installation must be warranted for a minimum of 12 months.
Estimated window opening sizes are included in Attachment B. This project includes the removal of the existing windows, installation of new approved replacement windows, and restoration of the window openings to ensure a seamless and professional finish. Existing window coverings will be removed and not reinstalled or replaced. Painting of new trim and drywall installed as part of this project is not included in the scope of this project.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
The Waukee Parks and Recreation Department is seeking complete project pricing for the replacement of windows as described. This includes all necessary labor, equipment, and materials required for the successful completion of the project. A dumpster for disposal of any project related items will be provided by the Contractor. Alternatively, the contractor may remove all generated trash from the site on a daily basis.
In addition to the cost for windows replacement, proposers will include an estimate to repair a section of 6’ x 6’ exterior building wall. Repairs will include removal and reinstallation of vinyl siding, removal and replacement of 2x4 framing including sill plate and installation of new unpainted, textured drywall. The cost for this repair will be finalized after demolition of the damaged area.
TIMELINE FOR PROJECT COMPLETION
This project will be completed October 1, 2025, through December 31, 2025, as determined by materials and contractor availability. Any façade openings must be secured overnight and during any period of inactivity by the contractor. Once initial demolition begins, the project must be completed within three weeks of the commencement date.
