JANITORIAL SERVICES
Invitation to Bid: The Village of Vernon Hills, 290 Evergreen Drive, Vernon Hills, IL (“VILLAGE”) invites sealed Bidder’s Proposals for the Work described in detail in the Contract and generally described as follows: Janitorial Services for Public Works Facility, Arbortheater, and the Metra Station, Village Hall, Police Department, Communication and Training Facility and Muni Golf Course.

1. Instruction to Bidders. Bid Packets (containing Proposal Forms, Specifications, Instructions, and Relevant Attachments) may be obtained starting at 7:30 am on February 13, 2025, by the following:

A pre-bid meeting will be held at the Village Hall, 290 Evergreen Drive, Vernon Hills, IL on February 20th, at 09:00 a.m. local time, to tour the facilities. The purpose of the pre-bid meeting is to allow Bidders to inspect the facilities to be cleaned.
Bids should be submitted to the Village Hall at 290 Evergreen Drive, Vernon Hills, IL 60061 in sealed envelopes that are clearly labeled on the outside - “Bid for Janitorial Services for the Public Works Facility, the Arbortheater, and the Metra Station." There should be 2 copies provided of the proposal in the sealed envelope.
2. Bid Opening. VILLAGE will receive sealed Bidder’s Proposals for the Work until 10:00 am, February 27, 2025, at the Vernon Hills Village Hall, 290 Evergreen Drive, at which time all Bidder’s Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. Late bids will be returned unopened.
3.Bid Security, Bond and Insurance A. Proposal Guarantee. A Proposal Guarantee in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall be required. Bid Bond, Bank Cashier’s Check, Bank Draft, or Certified Check made payable to the Village of Vernon Hills, shall accompany all proposals. B. Insurance. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish certificates and policies of insurance upon award of the Contract.
