CDBG - Economic Development

Dane County is soliciting project proposals for a wide range of economic development activities eligible for funding under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. It is expected that funds in 2026 will be made available for economic development projects that create permanent jobs for low-and-moderate income residents of the participating communities of the Dane County Urban County Consortium.

Dane County requires that all applicants complete the Vendor Questionnaire/RFP application in its entirety and sign the Signature Power Form at the end of the Questionnaire. Failure to do so may result in the application to become ineligible for funding and may not be scored.

Dane County intends to use the results of this process to make an award to subrecipients of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. The total amount of CDBG funding available for 2026 is unknown at this time. It is estimated that Dane County may have up to $1,100,000 in CDBG funds that will be disbursed among several CDBG Categories including the Economic Assistance category.
