Department of Veterans Affairs New Jersey Health Care System is seeking annual services for Amalgam Separator Replacement Kits and Recycling Service at these locations (East Orange, Lyons, and Toms River). Dental offices discharge mercury presents in amalgam used for fillings. Amalgam separators are a practical, affordable, and readily available technology for capturing mercury and other metals before they are discharged into sewers. Amalgam separators remove amalgam particles from the wastewater to reduce the amount of amalgam entering the sewage system. Â
