SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS NOTICE IS MARKET RESEARCH TO SUPPORT INCLUSION OF SOLE SOURCE (BRAND NAME) SPECIFICATION IN FTW501 Unaccompanied Enlisted Personnel Housing, Fort Wainwright, AK. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL.

The U.S. Army Engineer District, Alaska intends to specify the below listed items as part of a larger construction contract to be executed on Fort Wainwright AFB, Alaska. A determination by the Government to not compete this requirement, for the specific items listed below, based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Reference FAR 6.302-1(c), “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements - Application for brand name descriptions.”

Items:

Siemens Desigo BACnet Automated Building Management System - All buildings on

Fort Wainwright are required to be connected to this head end and to have Building Automation Systems

(BAS) which provide full communication and functionality. With a Siemens system in the individual

facilities, operators are able to operate and program the Building Automation Systems from the central

location. During emergencies it is necessary to make such programming changes to shut down building

systems or keep a building operational.

Monaco MAAP-X and associated devices - Must seamlessly report to the central Monaco fire alarm receiving station.

Federal Signal Transceiver - The building mass notification systems (BMNS) is

required to interface with the Fort Wainwright Federal Signal Remote Mass Notification ACU’s unit for

emergency broadcasts in all facilities on Fort Wainwright. Ft Wainwright has standardized the systems on

the installation, requiring that all new construction specify installation of only Federal Signal Mass

Notification Panel.

THIS NOTICE IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE AND NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. No solicitation will be available as

these sole source items will be incorporated into the specifications of FTW501 Unaccompanied Enlisted Personnel Housing, Fort

Wainwright, Alaska solicitation.

Vendors who offer the above items which can meet all of the above functional criteria are invited to respond to this

notice. Responses must include the following information:

1. Identification of the manufacturer’s name, address, and country of product manufacture.

2. Fully detailed specification sheets.

3. Narrative addressing how your product meets the salient features listed above.
