Ticonderoga Amherst Ave Distribution Main Engineering Services
Description:

The Town of Ticonderoga is seeking qualifications from New York State licensed professional engineering firms or licensed engineering teams to provide comprehensive design and engineering services through construction for the replacement of the water distribution main along Amherst Avenue. The selected firm will be responsible for delivering all necessary planning, design, permitting, bidding, construction administration, and project closeout services.

The Town of Ticonderoga is seeking Statements of Qualifications from experienced professional engineering firms to provide services for developing a Basis of Design Report for an upcoming water system improvement project.

The project includes the replacement of approximately 1,883 feet of undersized and deteriorating water main that has been subject to frequent failures. It will also involve replacing associated valves, water service lines, and fire hydrants to improve overall system reliability and enhance fire protection capabilities.

The selected firm will be responsible for evaluating existing system conditions, identifying appropriate design alternatives, and developing a Basis of Design Report that clearly outlines the recommended improvements, preliminary engineering design, estimated construction costs, and project implementation schedule.

This project is anticipated to receive funding through the New York State Office of Community Renewal (OCR) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Public Infrastructure Program in the 2026 funding round. All work performed must comply with applicable NEPA requirements and federal cross-cutting regulations associated with CDBG funding. Furthermore, all project bidding, construction administration, inspection, and closeout activities must be completed in accordance with the OCR Program Guidelines, Grant Administration Manual, and applicable Homes and Community Renewal (HCR) Terms and Conditions.

The Consultant must comply with any and all MWBE/SDVOB/Section 3 requirements and goals. These goals will be determined at the time of funding award.
