REQUEST FOR SEALED BIDS
ANNUAL COMMODITIES
VAL VERDE COUNTY, TEXAS is accepting competitive sealed bids for annual commodities and services. The Val Verde
County Purchasing Agent will be accepting sealed bids until 10:00 A.M. on August 6, 2026 at 509 E. Gibbs Street, Del Rio, Texas
78840. All bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud on August 6, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. for the following products
and services:
Road Material Products
Road Oil Products
Fleet Fuel
Janitorial Services
Please submit (1) original copy of your bid to the following address:

All sealed bids must be clearly marked on the outer envelope with the respective Bid Number and name of Bid as shown
in the example below.
Example: Bid No. 26- , Janitorial Services, 08/06/26 at 10:00 A.M.
Instructions to Bidders: Bidders may visit www.valverdecounty.texas.gov website to view and/or download Bid documents
and specifications. To download/view bid documents, Click on: Business Tab. From the drop-down list, click on: Bid
Opportunities, and then select the bid packet. Bidder's may also request information by email from
mvasquez@valverdecounty.texas.gov.
All questions may be submitted prior to bid opening by emailing Melissa Vasquez at mvasquez@valverdecounty.texas.gov.
In the subject line, identify you have a question for "Bid Number XX-XX" and for which commodity or service. All questions
are due by 4:30 P.M. on July 27, 2026. All questions and responses will be posted on Val Verde County's website by 4:30
P.M. on July 29, 2026.
It is the responsibility of the Bidder to check the County Website for any addenda or additional bid documents posted to
any bid before submitting their bids. Only bids that conform to the instructions and specifications will be considered.
Method of payment made by Val Verde County is by check only. Payment Terms are Net 30.
Bids may be held by Val Verde County for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening for the
purpose of reviewing all bids and investigating the bidders' qualifications prior to the contract award.
Said bids shall be let to the lowest responsible bidder, and Val Verde County reserves the right to accept or reject any or
all bids and to waive informalities in said bid. In case of ambiguity in stating the price in the bid, Val Verde County reserves
the right to consider the most advantageous bid or to reject any bids. The Val Verde County Commissioner's Court in their
sole judgment determines what is in the County's best interest and benefit.
The successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because
of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. Val Verde County is an Affirmative Action
