Description

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Office of Safety, Security and Asset Management’s (OSSAM) Occupational Health and Safety Office (OHSO) intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to Chenega Global Protection, LLC, 14420 Albermarle Point PL STE 100, Chantilly, VA 20151-1782. Under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is a 7 month bridge contract to the current CDC contract #75D30120C08513, there will be no new work only a continuation of the work in the original contract. This bridge contract will allow the CDC to properly work on the follow-on/re-compete contract which will be an 8(a) direct award that anticipated for 2026. This requirement is for OSSAM’s Security Services Office (SSO) located in Atlanta, GA. SSO needs services to provide security guard services throughout designated CDC owned and leased facilities which includes:




  1. Monitoring and responding to mechanical and electronic fire alarm systems and electronic security systems inside buildings;

  2. Participating in fire and other evacuation procedures;

  3. Providing unarmed and armed security; responding to facilities and boundary perimeters of the facilities;

  4. Controlling access and exit of personnel (government employees, contractors, vendors, visitors) and vehicles, to owned and leased facilities;

  5. Operating metal detectors and x-ray equipment, to prevent unauthorized access to facilities and grounds;

  6. Issuing and controlling photo identification badges and visitor/temporary badges;

  7. Operating explosives detection equipment, pop-up barriers, and general security related equipment;

  8. Assisting in the prevention of loss, theft, or damage to Government property;

  9. Coordinating with on-site and responding local law enforcement personnel, and

  10. Responding to incidents (with written response plans) occurring on CDC owned and leased facilities;

  11. Performing other designated guard functions, as specified



The applicable NAICS code is 561612 Security Guard Services. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for the requirement. Sources interested in responding to this notice are required to submit a capability statement that includes management and technical data, in sufficient detail and with convincing evidence that clearly demonstrates the capability to provide the warranties and proof as being an authorized distributor of the product. Capability statements shall not exceed 2 (8.5 x 11 inch) pages using a font size no smaller than 10-point. All capability statements received by the due date of this notice will be considered by the Government. A request for documentation or additional information or submissions that only ask questions will not be considered as an affirmative response. Capability statements are due by 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST), June 25, 2025.
