Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT request for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time.
This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine the interest and capability of small businesses able to meet the requirements listed below.
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Regional Procurement Office Central, Network Contracting Office 10 is seeking sources to Pallet containing 132 cases of Emergency Drinking Water. Each case contains (6) x 1 Liter (33.8 FL OZ) of certified Bacteria free, shelf-stable pure water in BPA-free, durable
HDPE bottles for the John D. Dingell Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, 4646 John R St, Detroit, MI 48201

Equivalent Emergency Drinking must meet the following requirements:

MUST HAVE A MIN 20 YEAR SHELF LIFE FROM MFG DATE
1 LITER BOTTLES ARE REQUIRED FOR EMERGENCIES
BOTTLES MUST BE OF HIGH-DENSITY POLYETHYLENE AND CRUSH RESISTANT
MUST BE ALUMINUM FREE
BOTTLES MUST HAVE A MIN OF (3) LEVELS OF PROTECTION TO ENSURE WATER HAS NOT BEEN TAMPERED.
BOTTLES MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO FLOAT IN CASE OF FLOODING ETC
MUST BE AVAILIBLE BY THE PALLET FOR SPACE SAVING
PALLET SIZE NO BIGGER THAN 48 W X 40 L X 61 H
MUST WITHSTAIN TEMPATURES OF 50°F 70°F per CDC guidelines
BOTTLES MUST BE RECYCLABLE
MUST BE CERTIFIED BATERIA AND BPA FREE

All supplies must be readily available for delivery FOB Destination to the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, 4646 John R St, Detroit, MI 48201 within 14 days of contract award.

Contractors that are interested in meeting this requirement are required to submit the following information:
Specifications/product information for the proposed supply.
Company information to include name, address, point of contact, and SAM UEI.
Additional information:
All contractors must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://sam.gov.
Any contractor that believes they are capable and desires to claim preference for small business status must be registered with the SBA and meet the requirements of FAR 19.102.
