Addendum No. 1
NOTICE TO ALL BIDDERS AND SUB-BIDDERS
This Addendum supplements the Contract Documents and Specifications for the above project
and is hereby made a part thereof by reference and shall be as binding as though inserted in its
entirety in the locations designated herein. It shall be the responsibility of each general bidder to
notify all subcontractors and suppliers he proposes to use for the various parts of the work of any
changes or modifications contained in this Addendum. No claim for additional compensation
because of lack of knowledge of the contents of this Addendum will be considered. Receipt of
this Addendum shall be acknowledged on the "Bid" sheet (Page 10 of 14).
Questions & Answers:
1. Question: Revision to bidder qualification requirements.
Answer: Section 2.e. of the Instructions to Bidders, page 4 of INFORMATION
FOR BIDDERS, is replaced in its entirety with the following: "The
Bidder shall have successfully completed at least four (4) dam, canal,
reservoir, or hydroelectric facility projects within the last fifteen (15)
years. At least one of these projects shall have included a pneumatic or
hydraulic crest gate system."
2. Question: Revision to Technical Specification Section 11288 "Hydraulic Crest
Gate" requirements, Section 1.08.
Answer: Part 1 - General, Section 1.08 SUBMITTALS, A., is replaced in its
entirety with the following: "Submit a list of at least one (1) North
American pneumatic or hydraulic crest gate installation(s) in the past
fifteen (15) years, including current contact names and phone numbers as
required in Paragraph 1.10.D of this Specification."
3. Question: Revision to Bid Submission date
Answer: INVITATION FOR BIDDERS, page 1, the prior bid due date of July 1,
2026, shall be replaced with bids being due at the office of the
Department of Water Works of the City of Manchester, New Hampshire
before or at 2:00 P.M., prevailing time on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.

4. Question: Revision to Bid Submission date
Answer: Advertisement for Bids, page 1 of 14, the prior bid due date of July 1,
2026, shall be replaced with July 8, 2026.
5. Question: Revision to Bid Submission date
Answer: Bid Schedule, page 13 of 14, the prior bid due date of July 1, 2026, shall
be replaced with July 8, 2026.
6. Question: Please clarify, is the entire solicitation package (including all
specifications and drawings) due with the bid submission or is the bidder
only submitting relevant bidding and qualification documents?
Answer: The following, as a minimum, shall be included with the bid submission:
* Section A, pages 10, 11, 12 and 14
* BID FORM, all four (4) pages
* Part 1 - General, Section 1.08 SUBMITTALS, A. - Bidders list
of all references for prior pneumatic or hydraulic crest gate
system installations.
7. Question: Would the owner be willing to extend the due date from 7-1-26, to 7-8-
26 or 7-15-26?
Answer: Refer to Answers to Questions 3, 4 and 5.
8. Question: Please provide clarification for the remainder of the bit items, to include
the method of measurement and basis of payment.
Answer: The following bid items are referred to by reference and are included in
their entirety in the "NH-DOT Standard Specifications for Road and
Bridge Construction, March 2016":
