NOTICE OF SINGLE SOURCE TO THE PUBLIC
Shelby County Government has identified a single source purchase for the goods/services as
listed below. This notice is not a request for bid, proposal, or qualifications.
Single Source - Medical Director Services
The identified vendor will:
The Medical Director provides physician oversight required for the operation of the
department's Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program. These services include medical
direction, protocol development and review, quality improvement activities, clinical case
review, provider education, regulatory guidance, and consultation on patient care matters.
Tennessee regulations require licensed EMS agencies to operate under the supervision of a
qualified Medical Director.
1. State of Tennessee emergency medical protocol development and review.
2. Quality improvement activities & related assurance activities.
3. Clinical case review and oversight.
4. Regulatory guidance, and consultation on patient care as related to EMS.
5. Oversight to maintain compliance with state EMS regulations, clinical competency of its
EMS personnel.
Procurement Timing/Deadlines:
1. July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027

In accordance with Shelby County's Purchasing policy, notice of single source will be posted on
the County's website for seven (7) days prior to award.
Notice expires on August 4, 2026, at 2:30 p.m.
