Project Description: The purpose of this RFP is to enter into a contract with a certified public accounting firm to provide external audit services for the District for year ending financial statements December 31,2025.
If the selected certified public accounting firm performs satisfactorily for the December 31, 2025, audit, it is anticipated that the same firm will be engaged to perform the audit for the subsequent two (2) years. After the 3rd year, The District’s policy allows the Board of Trustees to extend the contract on a year-to-year basis for a maximum contract term of five (5) years from the December 31, 2025, audit. After the contract term has expired, the District will bid out audit services again. Each year during the contract term, the District’s audit committee will recommend to the Board of Trustees whether the Board should retain the services of the firm during a public board meeting. This recommendation will be based on tenure of the auditor as well as quality of work produced.
