Test, evaluation and repair of Teledyne electronic sequencers

Commander, Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC) Procurement Group, Patuxent River, MD, hereby gives notice of intent to award a purchase order to Teledyne Electronic Safety Products., (Cage Code: 0EUB8), on a sole source basis in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source is reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The purchase order includes test, evaluation and repair of three electronic sequencers.

Teledyne is the original equipment manufacturer and the only company that can meet operational and reliability requirements. Teledyne is the only service provider that can maintain configuration control throughout the repair process due to the uniqueness of the test sets. There are associated technical data rights required to perform repairs for the electronic sequencers.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within three (3) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be reviewed. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
