RE: ADDENDUM #4, BID NO. 20260623, CONSTRUCTION OF AMENITIES AT PORT CHARLOTTE BEACH PARK
Bidders are hereby notified that this addendum shall be made a part of the above-named proposal and contract documents.
The following is issued to modify, and/or clarify the proposal and contract documents. These items shall have the same force and
effect as the original bid and contract documents, and bids to be submitted on the specified date shall conform with the additions,
deletions and revisions as listed herein.
ITEM #1 QUESTIONS/ANSWERS:
Q1: Can the engineer draft an electrical plan with the layout and what electrical requirements the shelters will
need?
A1: This is not available. There is currently 20amp electric on the site that originates in the restroom
building closest to the playground. This service was for the existing shelters that were removed post
hurricane. The new shelter has cut-outs to support the infrastructure and outlets. It needs electrical
outlets and lights.
Q2: Are there other amenities or future lighting that electrical services will need to be provided on this project?
A2: No.
Q3: There are no picnic tables or benches shown on the plan sheets but listed in the hardscape detail sheets.
Can you please provide a quantity for the picnic tables and benches required for the project?
A3: The County will supply and install all the picnic tables benches for the project. The GC is not
responsible for any of them.
Q4: Would the County be providing an allowance for all permits needed for this project?
A4: The Contractor will be responsible for all building permit costs. These costs are incidental to the
contract and need to be incorporated into the bid price.
Q5: It states on TS-05 that The Contractor shall not subcontract, sublet, or otherwise assign more than forty-nine
percent (49%) of the Contract value. Is this able to be reduced?
A5: Please refer to the deletion in Item #2 below.
ITEM #2 DELETION: On Page 18 in the bid specifications, please DELETE TS-05 SUBCONTRACTING, ASSIGMENT
AND SUBLETTING: The Contractor shall not subcontract, sublet, or otherwise assign more than forty-nine
percent (49%) of the Contract value. No subcontracting is permitted without the expressed written approval of the
County.
