This Request for Proposals (the 'RFP') is an invitation by the Province of Nova Scotia (the 'Province') as represented herein by the Minister of Service Nova Scotia, for and on behalf of the Nova Scotia Health Authority ('NSHA', and together with the Province, 'Nova Scotia'), to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision ofMental Health & Addiction iCBTServices as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the 'Deliverables'). This RFP is being conducted pursuant to the Nova Scotia Sustainable Procurement Policy and Procurement Manual.
The Mental Health & Addictions Program ('MHAP') of care at NSHA is searching for a youth & adult (ages 16 and up) focused internet-delivered cognitive behavioural therapy ('iCBT') solution with coaching. iCBT is a form of evidence-based psychotherapy that uses a structured and goal-oriented approach to treat mental health conditions that can contribute to decreased quality of life. The aim of cognitive behavioural therapy ('CBT') is to alleviate distress by helping participants develop more adaptive cognitions and behaviours. It is the most widely researched and empirically supported psychotherapeutic method. The iCBT solution MHAP is seeking and that this RFP details will support youth and adults (age 16+) needing treatment for anxiety and depression and other mental health conditions to receive coaching assisted CBT without needing to meet in-person.
