Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, South Central Regional Office, intends to issue Solicitation No.15B50026Q00000002 for the supply of Scott Safety SCBA Cylinders. The resulting award will be a single firm-fixed price contract.



The government intends to procure self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) cylinders manufactured by 3M Scott Fire and Safety.



This requirement is based on the need to maintain full system compatibility, certification integrity, and operational readiness of existing SCBA respiratory protection systems currently in use. The cylinders must be fully intererchangeable with existiing equipment without modification, requalification, or compromise of NFPA/NIOSH certfication standards.



Only 3M Scott Fire & Safey clyinders meet the technbical and safety requirememnts necessary to ensure continuity of operations and personnel safety.



No substituions will be accepted unlesss explicitly determined to be technically acceptable by the Government.

This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The applicable NAICS code is 333912 with a small business size standard of 1000 employees.



Award will be made to the responsible contractor whos quotation conforms to the soliciation and is determined to be most advantageous to the Government, considering price-related factors, past performance, and technical capability in accordance with FAR



The solicitation will be available on April 22, 2026, and will be distributed soley through the System for Award Management (SAM).

  • Vendors must clearly indicate Manufacturer authorization (if applicable)

  • Lead time

  • Quotes are due May 1, 2026, at 9:00 a.m CST via email only to arriaga@bop.gov

  • Late submissions will not be accepted.
