WATER TREATMENT PLANT CLARIFIER IMPROVEMENTS

The City of Big Rapids is requesting Bids for the Water Treatment Plant Clarifier Improvements. Bids for the construction of the project will be received at the City Hall located at 226 N Michigan Ave, Big Rapids, MI 49307, until 2:00 p.m. local time, April 14, 2026. At that time, the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

The Project as a whole includes improvements to two existing clarifiers at the Water Treatment Plant, including recoating of existing steel mechanisms and support structures, recoating of clarifier room ceiling, repair of concrete spalls at clarifier perimeter railing, replacement of clarifier rubber skirt, and all related work.

Prospective Bidders may request the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office. The Issuing Office of the Bidding Documents is: Fleis & VandenBrink Engineering, Inc., 2960 Lucerne Drive SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546: email: bidroom@fveng.com; Telephone (616) 977-1000.

The date the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents.

A pre-bid conference for the project will not be held. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents.

The City of Big Rapids reserves the right to accept any bid, reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and make the award in any manner deemed in the best interest of the City.
