The Lea County Board of County Commissioners is requesting proposals from qualified vendors to provide Insurance Broker Services . Award will be for a Single Term contract for a term of four (4) years .
Lea County is one of 33 counties in the State of New Mexico. It was created in 1917 and is one of the fastest growing counties in the state. The county seat is Lovington. The most populated city is Hobbs with approximately 39,000 people. The County's annual budget for 2024-2025 is $172,000,000.00 and it has over 350 employees. The County maintains approximately 1,219 miles of roads. The County owns three airports in or near the cities of Hobbs, Lovington, and Jal. The County operates a Detention Center housing both state and federal detainees with a capacity of 400 adults and 32 juveniles. Medical and mental health care at the Detention Center is provided by Roadrunner Healthcare. The Sheriff's Department is the County's law enforcement agency. The County's fleet consists of approximately 460 vehicles and trailers.
