The Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence (OPDV) is seeking to contract with ten (10) domestic violence service providers to deliver regional comprehensive trainings and offer technical assistance to non-law enforcement Extreme Risk Order of Protection (ERPO) petitioners to increase the understanding of how to utilize these petitions to improve victim safety in domestic and gender-based violence situations. This includes how to identify extreme risk behaviors, complete and file an ERPO petition, have a hearing, and request an extension. Non-law enforcement petitioners include petitioners like family and household members, attorneys, school officials, and health and mental health care providers. There will be one (1) award per the ten (10) regions. These regions are identified by the State's ten (10) Gender-Based Violence Regional Councils (GBVRCs). Successful applicants will receive training and technical assistance on ERPO filing from a contracted statewide trainer and then implement those trainings in their awarded region.? OPDV is accepting proposals from entities who are affiliated in the following was and providing services in NYS to fulfill the deliverables of this RFP: NYS domestic violence programs that are licensed and/or recognized by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS), NYS Victim Assistance Programs currently funded by the Office of Victim Services (OVS), and other organizations as designated by the New York State Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NYSCADV) provider directory.
