Intent to Sole Source: Clinical and Administrative Terminology Management

NOTICE OF THE INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE:

CLINICAL ARCHITECTURE,

11611 N MERIDIAN ST STE 500,

CARMEL, INDIANA 46032-4542,

UNITED STATES.

Strategic Acquisition Center (SAC), on behalf of the Department of Veterans Affairs

(VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Digital Health Office (DHO), Office of

Health Informatics (OHI) intends to award a firm-fixed contract with options to Clinical

Architecture, LLC to provide the use of Symedical Core User Subscription services for

the Knowledge Based Systems Terminology Team (KBST).

The proposed procurement is for products for which the Government intends to solicit

and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 41 USC §3204(a)(1),

U.S.C.3304(a)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart

6.302-1 entitled, “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will

Satisfy Agency Requirements.”

The North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) for this requirement is

541519.

All responsible sources that feel they should be considered qualified to provide the

above-mentioned products may submit a response to this notice to

William.Milline@va.gov or Cristine.Carmody@va.gov.

The information provided shall include detailed (and relevant) documentation to allow

the government to perform adequate market research and make a proper

determination. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed

requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the

Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of

determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
