THE DEADLINE FOR RESPONDING TO THIS RFI HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO NOON EST 20 NOVEMBER 2024.
This Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS)/Request for Information (RFI) is issued for informational purposes and market research only; it does not constitute a solicitation. The Government will not reimburse any company or individual for any expenses associated with preparing/submitting information in response to this posting. The information provided may be used by the Government in developing its acquisition strategy, statement of work/statement of objectives, and/or performance specifications. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained within their response as instructed later in this posting.
The United States (US) Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance & Special Operations Forces (ISR & SOF) Directorate, Special Warfare (SW) Program Office (AFLCMC/WISN) is conducting market research to identify possible sources capable of providing hand-held devices that combine the capabilities in Section 3 below. For SW missions, combining these capabilities into single systems can provide benefit to the user, including reducing the number of items carried on mission, reduced Size, Weight and Power (SWAP), fewer cables, and reduced cost.
The SW program office seeks information on the best available Systems that provide optimum capability with minimal SWAP and Cost. All laser devices must be on the USAF Safety Center Laser Systems “Approved Systems” listing, with FDA approval or DoD waiver as applicable.
This RFI seeks systems in production, however vendors are encouraged to submit roadmaps showing near-term (1-2 years) planned improvements to proposed solutions.
See Attachment for additional information.
