NOTICE OF INTENT TO CONTRACT WITH A SINGLE SOURCE: The Federal Aviation Administration Academy, intends to award a single source contract to Planning Technologies, Inc Clearwater, FL for proposed eTERPS Software License renewal.
In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System, AMS 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source when it is determined to be in the best interest of the FAA. This procurement is considered to be single-sourced to Planning Technologies, Inc (PTI) based on the following: The FAA is responsible for issuing obstacle related determinations based on extensive analysis completed in accordance with 49 United States Code (USC) Sections 44718 & 47101. Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR), parts 77 & 157 authorizes FAA to collect this information. The FAA utilizes PTI’s eTERPS software in fulfilling this responsibility. The FAA does not own the software code to eTERPS. This software is proprietary to PTI. Therefore, no other contractor besides PTI is able to fulfill this requirement.
This announcement is for informational purposes only and not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal. This requirement will be awarded to Planning Technologies, Inc Clearwater, FL and is not available for full and open competition.
