Description: Description of goods to services to be bid: The purpose of this Request for information (RFI) is to invite stakeholders engaged in or impacted by offshore wind transmission development to identify opportunities to develop New York City offshore wind transmission projects more efficiently and effectively. NYSERDA seeks information on potential activities that could reduce transmission project costs and/or timelines, mitigate stakeholder impacts, or provide environmental benefits. NYSERDA does not intend to publish responses to this RFI. NYSERDA may share responses with New York State and federal agencies. NYSERDA may share an aggregation of responses, in which the identity of the respondent is not disclosed, with the public or NYSERDA partners.

Eligibility/Qualifications Requirements/Preferences: NYSERDA is asking stakeholders to identify which pre-development research topical areas should be considered to better inform our decision making. These research areas may include sediment quality or sediment transport modeling needs, identification of temporal and spatial data on the presence of certain fish species, benthic habitat identification and recovery rates, inventories of existing infrastructure, anchoring depth considerations for maritime vessels, cable installation techniques that reduce risk, in situ measurements of electromagnetic fields, or mapping and identification of submerged archaeological and cultural resources. NYSERDA anticipates collecting and analyzing RFI responses to inform potential future contracts.
