City of Airdrie

This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the City of Airdrie (the “City”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Consulting Services – Prime Design Architect Southwest Recreation Centre during the design, construction and post-construction phases of a new multi-purpose recreation facility in the southwest quadrant of the community. The new facility will be located on a 30-acre site being developed by the City within the Southwinds Community and is adjacent to a Rocky view School Division High School site. The site has been approved by Council to be developed in three construction phases.

The RFP is issued for Prime Design Consultant services required for the concept and schematic design of all three integrated facility phases, and the detailed design, construction and post-construction of Phase 1 with Project Turnover / Post-Construction anticipated December 1, 2028. The design to be completed March 1, 2026, is to account for the integration and constructability of all phases of the new facility.

The City reserves the right to utilize the services of the selected Consultant for all future phases of work, based on satisfactory performance and mutual agreement on cost. The construction of the first phase of the centre is expected to be completed by Q3 2028.
