Synopsis:
|
|
The Lloydminster Public School Division (LPSD) invites qualified architectural and engineering firms to submit proposals for professional services related to the renovation and partial demolition at Avery School. Avery School is a grades 9-12 outreach school that serves approximately 150 students.
Avery school was relocated to this facility in November 2024. Prior to this, the facility was called Barr Colony Elementary School which was closed after the 2023/24 school year. The LPSD Board voted to close the north portion of the school due to rot in the wood floor structure and crawlspace.
The LPSD Board relocated Avery School to the south section of the former Barr Colony School as the program had outgrown its current building. The south portion of the school was constructed in 1977, and is in good structural condition.
