The War Related Illness and Injury Study Center (hereafter DC WRIISC ) in Washington, DC is a national postdeployment health resource for the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). The WRIISC develops and provides post-deployment health expertise to Veterans and their health care providers through clinical programs, education and risk communication, and research.
Statutory Authority Permitting Restricted Competition:
FAR 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. The statutory authority for applying the Simplified Procedures for Commercial Items of FAR 13.5 is 41 U.S.C. § 1901 and is implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) for restricting competition on this procurement. Competition is restricted on this procurement for the reason below:
Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency
Requirements
Competition was restricted and the approved justification is attached. The award was made to the Henry Jackson Foundation (hereafter HJF ), which is a global organization dedicated to advancing military medical research.
The contract is awarded as a Base Year performance with 4 additional option year periods. The total contract value is: $2,870,393.88 if all option year periods are executed.
