Description
**THIS SPECIAL NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A “REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP)” TO BE SUBMITTED. IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION AND SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT**
The 410th Contracting Support Brigade/Regional Contracting Office – Miami is issuing this notification on behalf of the United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) - Senior Logistics Leadership Symposium FY25 (SLLS25) as a means of providing Industry with pertinent information regarding upcoming Industry Day on 04- 06 June 2025 at the Conference Center of the Americas, Doral, FL. This notification will continue to be updated as new information to be shared with Industry arises. The purpose of Industry Day-SLLS25 is to facilitate productive, face-to-face engagement between Defense Industry and Partner Nation (PN) participants within the context of SLLS25. This event is not intended for the facilitation of contracts or sales, but rather to foster dialogue, engagement, and networking. This special notice is a means of identifying/notifying companies that are involved in Defense industries that are active stakeholders in USSOUTHCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Key Terms:
AOR: The land mass of Latin America south of Mexico. The waters adjacent to Central and South America. The Caribbean Sea.
Active Stakeholder: Companies/Industries that have existing contracts for U.S sourced equipment in the AOR and have products (equipment, software, admin services, training, etc.) in the field or soon to be in the field. Preference is for those industries which have contracts with multiple partner nations and not solely with a single nation.
-
Representatives/participants from industries are to come from departments within that company related to supply chain management, maintenance, sustainment, or such related logistics fields to comply with the main event’s (SLLS25) overall theme of “Strategic Logistics Vision” and must be able to discuss their product/service from a logistics perspective. The PN participants themselves will all be logisticians by trade, and hence PN Logistician-Industry Logistician dialogue is what is sought. This requirement should hopefully filter the participants to only those who are able to engage in substantive dialogue with our PNs.
-
Representatives/participants should ideally be bi/trilingual (Spa/Eng/Por), as a great portion of participants will solely speak Spanish/Portuguese.
-
Example of desired industries: Lockheed Martin, L3 Harris, Metal Shark Boat, Boston Whaler, Navistar, Raytheon, Boeing, Motorola, Mercury Marine.
IMPORTANT NOTES REGARDING INDUSTRY DAY/REGISTRATION/ATTENDANCE:
-
Each vendor will be restricted to two personnel per company, and it is highly suggested that at least one, if not both attendees, are technical representatives.
-
Attendance is predicated upon submission of the USSOUTHCOM Personnel Security Local Records Check (HSPD12) and approval through the security vetting review. A copy of the HSPD12 can be found below. Two Original Identity Source Documents (one photo ID required) will be required.
-
Companies having an interest in attending SLLS25 Industry Day must send an email to Ms Kemy Derisma Kemy.b.derisma.civ@mail.mil or via phone (305) – 437 – 2389 by 01 May 2025. The email must provide the business name, address, attendee name(s), a point of contact phone number and email address. The subject line of the email should read “Industry Day - SLLS25 – Company Name”.
-
Specifics, including directions, agenda, question forms, and ground rules will be provided by email upon approved registration. All attendees must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. This visit WILL NOT be rescheduled if cancelled due to weather or any other Acts of God. The Government is not committed nor obligated to pay for the information provided, and no basis for claims against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this notice.
