Sealed proposals for “Washington Street Resurfacing – Bank Street to 2nd Street” project will be received by the Borough of East Greenville, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, via PennBid, until 10:00 A.M., prevailing time, on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.
This project will consist of milling the existing roadway and placement of approximately 3,900 SY of 9.5 mm wearing course on Washinton Street between Bank Street and 2nd Street in the Borough. Placement of approximately 170 tons of a leveling scratch course is included in the scope of work. Items for sweeping and preparation, and joint sealing around curbs, manholes, inlets, and valve boxes will be incidental to the project.
Bids will be administered via PennBid. Complete sets of contract documents are available via www.PennBid.net. The successful bidder who is awarded the contract will be required to pay "PennBID" a fee in accordance with their established fee schedule.
Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Borough of East Greenville.
A Prebid Meeting will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the East Greenville Borough Office, 206 Main Street, East Greenville, PA 18041. The meeting will be followed by a tour of the project site if requested. Attendance is not mandatory.
Award of Contract, if a Contract be awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities.
All current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Standards and Specifications will prevail over all standards and specifications included in this contract.
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner.
The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body project. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or disability.
