The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) has awarded a task order to the Desert Research Institute (DRI) to procure an effort entitled “Arms Control Subject Matter Expert (SME) Support”. This task order will support an independent design and development review of the next-generation Radionuclide Aerosol Sampler/Analyzer (RASA), a specialized system used in the International Monitoring System (IMS). This requirement has been awarded as a sole source contract under the General Services Administration (GSA) Multiple Award Schedule (MAS).
The statutory authority for this non-competitive action is FAR 8.405-6(a)(l)(i)(B) - only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized. The attached Limited Sources Justification (LSJ) is being posted IAW requirements of FAR 8.405-6(a)(2).
