Description:
The contractor will use airborne light detection and ranging (lidar), visible through shortwave infrared imaging spectrometer measurements and coupled with snow hydrology modeling, to quantify the water volume in the snowpack and the physical parameters of the snow for the upper watersheds of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The data and snow hydrology model results produced by the contractor will enhance the snowpack data collection in the upper watersheds and lead to a better understanding and quantification of the snowpack condition, in addition to improving runoff forecasting.
