NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE FOR PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE SUPPORT AND REPAIRS OF Alpha/Beta Counter Series LB5100 SN 613124 & 5HP SN 43842

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal

Acquisition Regulation FAR 13.106-l(b)(1). The US Army Contracting Command -Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) Installation & Technology Division 6472 Integrity Court, Building 4401Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-1846; has a requirement to procure the following service:

The Aberdeen Test Center (ATC) requires annual preventive maintenance and repairs for the following equipment: Alpha/Beta Counter LB5100 SN 613124 and Alpha/Beta Counter Series 5HP SN 43842 including Eclipse Software and documentation update releases. Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland Aberdeen Test Center (ATC) B361. The service is for a 12-month base period and two (2) one year option period(s).

The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to Mirion Technologies (Canberra), Inc. 800 Research Parkway Meriden, Connecticut 06450. Mirion Technologies is the previous contract holder. The continued need for the preventive maintenance, and as-needed repairs of the Alpha/Beta Counters, has been deemed critical.

The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAlCS) Code is e

541380 (Testing Laboratories and Services) and the Size Standard is $19M.

All responses received within five businesses (5) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
