Notice to award sole source_ boat launch and recovery Winch

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE. This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regular (FAR) 5.101. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals. The statutory authority for this notice is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) set forth in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

Winch is non operational and is a mission critical piece of equipment for USCGC Kimball in Honolulu, HI. USCG intends to award to Jag Industrial Service, INC. The intent of the of the sole source is we believe Jag is the only company that can complete this service and due to the completion of this service being urgent and compelling. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement clearly demonstrating the ability to perform the requested service before this notice close date, which may be considered by the Agency. Responses to this notice shall be submitted to SKCS Justin Hinkle at justin.n.hinkle@uscg.mil

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation will be posted as a result of this notice. This special notice is being issued for informational purposes only.
