Hamaker Road - Hershey Drive Drainage Improvements

Project Description: Sealed Bids for the construction of Hamaker Rd. / Hershey Dr. Drainage Improvements will be received online by Manheim Borough via the PennBid Program until 1 pm local time on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at which time the Bids will be made available online. The Project consists of installation of storm pipe, inlets, concrete curb & sidewalk, asphalt pavement restoration, and retaining wall removal for Hamaker Road and Hershey Drive in Manheim Borough.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis.

Bid Security in the amount of 10% of the Bid amount, the Workmen’s Compensation Affidavit, Public Works Employment Verification Form, a Non-Collusion Affidavit and a signed Nondiscrimination / Sexual Harassment Clause must accompany the Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
Bids shall remain open for a period of 60 days from the date of Bid opening. Bids may not be withdrawn during this period. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
Notice is hereby given to bidders that construction of this project is being funded, in part, by a federal
grant administered through the PA Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) Commonwealth Finance Authority (CFA). The project is subject to the PA Prevailing Wage Act conditions. All bidders must comply with the non-discrimination/sexual harassment provisions in the contract.
Manheim Borough hereby reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids submitted or any part thereof or item therein. The Owner also reserves the right to waive any defects, errors, omissions, irregularities, or informalities in bids received.
