Overview

Summary

Washington County Department of Land Use and Transportation is seeking bids from qualified vendors for interior tenant improvements in multiple areas of an approximately 22,037 square foot office suite on the 3rd floor of the Washington County Public Services Building. Work includes selective demolition and construction of partition walls for 5 new offices and 5 new phone rooms; patching/paint of existing surfaces and paint of new surfaces; replacement of select carpet tiles, rubber base and modification to acoustical ceilings in areas impacted by scope of work; and modifications to existing mechanical, electrical, low voltage, and fire detection/suppression systems.

Project includes two bid alternates, shall they fall within the project budget; one for new acoustical ceiling tiles in all new offices and phone rooms, and one for an additional layer of gypsum board on all new walls dividing new phone rooms and offices.

Scope also includes systems furniture reconfigurations in multiple locations with associated power and data connections. Reconfiguration of systems furniture to be performed by County logistics vendor, but coordination time with vendor, provision of new power and data to workstations, modifications to existing power and data based on reconfiguration, and connection to power/data falls under contractor's scope.

Background

The Public Services Building was originally built in 1988, consisting of two perpendicular three story wings (north and south), a basement below the north wing, and a single level auditorium to the west of the north wing. In 2019, the building underwent seismic upgrades, as well as significant improvements to electrical and mechanical systems. The building houses key public services such as Vital Records, Assessment and Taxation, Building Services, Health and Human Services, Finance and Emergency Medical Services.
