Description
The Ministry of Mining and Critical Minerals (MCM), Abandoned Mines Branch requires the services of a contractor to construct Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) spillway upgrades at the abandoned Ruth Vermont Mine, located 26 km southwest of Parson, BC.
The works will include:Upgrades to an existing resource road (approx. 5.5 km), Construction of 3 small spillways in the TSF embankments, Spillway channel excavation (approx. 2,000 m
3
); and, Supply and placement of riprap armour and aggregate bedding (approx. 900 m
3
total). Surface grading, Deactivation of the resource road.The spillway upgrade design has been prepared by SRK Consulting (Canada) Inc. (SRK), and a road reactivation/deactivation prescription has been prepared by VAST Resource Solutions Inc. (VAST).
