Acquisition Plan Action ID:
Contracting Activity: Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN05, Baltimore Medical Center, 10 N Greene St, Baltimore, MD 21201.
Brief Description of Supplies/ Services required and the intended use/Estimated Amount: This is to modify existing contract to evaluate and pricing option to extend services. The estimated total is $164K.
Unique characteristics that limit availability to only one source, with the reason no other supplies or services can be used: The equipment is current in operation on scope lease in the facility, removing the equipment would result in adverse patient events causing work stoppage for gi and pulmonary scope surgical procedures.
Description of market research conducted was not conducted: Due to the emergency nature for potential veteran patient adverse medical events, market research was not conducted.
