Notice of Intent to Award

NASA/George C. Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) has a requirement for designing a user interface for new deployments leveraging components of the existing VEDA dashboard architecture.

NASA/MSFC intends to issue a sole source contract modification to acquire the services from Element 84 Inc. under the existing contract 80MSFC23CA017 using other than full and open competition as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

Element 84 will continue to provide support needed to design a user interface for new deployments of the VEDA dashboard for NASA’s Earth Science Division. This additional scope of work builds upon Element 84’s highly specialized expertise and current contract requirements to develop cloud native tools and services such that dynamic visualization and exploration of science data can be scaled.

The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Brent Evans at brent.l.evans@nasa.gov not later than 2:00pm Central Standard Time on December 21, 2024. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
