The Incorporated Village of Hempstead (the “Village”) is distributing a Request for Proposal (RFP) seeking the professional services of a Crossing Guard Services Company (“the CONTRACTOR”) to work directly with the VILLAGE. The CONTRACTOR shall provide the VILLAGE with a wide range of crossing guard services including, but not limited to, a safe, secure environment on various streets for students, residents, employees and visitors. The responsibilities of the CONTRACTOR shall include, but shall not be limited to, the operation and enforcement of a crossing guard system; maintain compliance with posted rules and regulations; preserve law and order within the area of assignment; report potentially hazardous conditions and items in need of repair (i.e. inoperative lights, broken or slippery floor/concrete/asphalt surfaces, etc.); and, as directed by the Village, prepare and disseminate incident reports on accidents.
