Sealed Bids for the construction of the Clarksville Cove Project will be received, by the Town of Clarksville, Virginia, at 321 Virginia Avenue, until 11:00 AM local time on June 4, 2026, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Town of Clarksville is requesting Bids for the construction of a new public dock on the John H. Kerr Reservoir in downtown Clarksville. The public docking system scope of work includes: ⢠Clearing and grubbing followed by grading, stone and pavement for construction of 335 LF by 6 ft wide trail. ⢠Construction of deck and metal gangway bridge for completion of 14 boat slip capacity dock. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Information and Bidding Documents for the Project can be found at the following link: Clarksville Cove Project - Bid Documents Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the designated website. Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the engineer as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. Partial funding for the project is being provided by the Recreational Trails Program of the Federal Highway Administration administered in Virginia by The Department of Conservation and Recreation and must be undertaken in accordance with the Recreational Trails Program guidance of the FHWA, 2, 23 and 49 CFR, and the Build America and Build America, Buy America Acts.
