ADDENDUM 1
BID NO. 25.26.1100
SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM INSTALLATION
This Addendum modifies the original Bid Document dated April 23, 2026, and Addendum No. 1 dated May 12, 2026, as described herein. All
addenda must be acknowledged in the designated space on the *REVISED* BID FORM/SIGNATURE PAGE, attached to this Addendum as
ATTACHMENT B. Failure to acknowledge all addenda will render a bid nonresponsive.
1. The RFP states new patch panels. Just want to confirm seeing that there was open spots on the existing
patch panels.
ANSWER: Please utilize existing patch panels where available and add new panels as needed.
2. Noticing both Leviton and Ortronics in the IDF, does the district have a preference on the cabling brand
for the new runs?
ANSWER: SUPERINTENDENT does not have a preference for cable brands, as long as the cable meets industry
standards and specifications.
3. Will the district require 20-year warranty on all new cabling?
ANSWER: 20-year warranty is not needed, but we do require certification of each cable run.
4. Does the district have all the necessary licensing required to meet the needs of the scope listed in the RFP
so that no license is required from the contractor?
ANSWER: Yes. SUPERINTENDENT already has all required licensing necessary to meet the scope outlined in the RFP;
no additional licensing is required from the awarded VENDOR.
5. Does the district have the necessary POE++ ports needed to support the multi-image cameras at each
location or are Injectors needed?
ANSWER: Our network switches can handle PoE++ multi-image cameras at each location, no injectors will be
needed.

6. The CP63 PTZ at Live Oak is not shown on the Live Oak map, can you confirm that location?
ANSWER: The CP63 PTZ camera identified for the Live Oak site has been removed from the project. Bidders shall
disregard any references to this camera in the plans, specifications, and related documents. No PTZ cameras are
required at the Live Oak location.
7. Some sections assign user setup and advanced video alarm setup to the contractor, while site-specific
“Work Not Included” language says Verkada Command organizational setup beyond camera claiming,
site assignment, and naming is excluded and to be performed by SBCSS IT or an authorized Verkada
partner. Can you please clarify contractor requirements?
ANSWER: The awarded VENDOR (integrator) is responsible for configuring the system within Verkada Command
based on requirements and information provided by SUPERINTENDENT. Video Alarms are an add-on license included
in the owner-furnished package. The Awarded VENDOR shall configure the Video Alarm detection areas and alarm
rules. SUPERINTENDENT will provide direction regarding alarm handling, including contacts, escalation procedures,
law enforcement notification, and/or third-party monitoring. SUPERINTENDENT retains responsibility for organizational
administration and user access governance within Verkada Command.
8. Will the district accept the pricing proposal sheets created by the respondent?
ANSWER: Yes. Respondent-created pricing proposal sheets may be submitted as supplemental documentation;
however, the SUPERINTENDENT’s required Bid Form and signature page must be completed and submitted. All
allowances must be included in the total bid price on the required Bid Form. Supplemental pricing sheets may be
attached but shall not replace required bid documents.
9. The bid documents state that bidders must possess a California C-7 Low Voltage Systems Contractor
license. Our firm currently holds a California C-10 Electrical Contractor license. Can you please confirm
whether a California C-10 Electrical Contractor license will be accepted as satisfying the license
requirement for this project, or whether a California C-7 Low Voltage Systems Contractor license is strictly
required for a bidder to be deemed responsive?
ANSWER: Yes, a C-7 or C-10 license are both acceptable for bidding on this project.
10. Could you please confirm the address for Lucy Siegrist Preschool.
ANSWER: Please note that the address listed in the bid documents for Lucy Siegrist is incorrect. The correct address
is 15922 Willow St, Hesperia, CA 92345.
