OEM Electric Water Heater

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. THIS IS A NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT'S INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD TO HUBBELL ELECTRIC HEATER CO. FOR OEM ELECTRIC WATER HEATER UNIT.

THE UNITED STATES COAST GUARD SFLC NORFOLK intends to award a firm-fixed price contract on a sole-source basis to THE ELECTRIC HEATER CO dba HUBBELL ELECTRIC HEATER CO. (Address: 45 Seymour Street, Stratford, Connecticut 06615-6170; CAGE Code: 19857) for One (1) new Electric Water Heater Model MSH320-0-30SLT4 OEM (Hubbell). All information received in response to this Notice of Intent marked "Proprietary" will be protected and handled accordingly. The OEM Electric Water Heater unit(s) are considered commercial supplies that will be acquired using FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13 procedures. The requirement is associated with a delivery date of twenty-five (25) weeks after award of contract. The anticipated award will be made under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), Soliciting from a single source. Market Research conducted by USCG SFLC concludes that HUBBELL ELECTRIC HEATER CO is the original manufacturer of the referenced items and maintains the proprietary rights, which makes them the sole-source to the OEM Electric Water Heater unit.

This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotes. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Provide any recommendations and/or concerns. Do not submit pricing information in response to this Notice of Intent. Interested parties may send responses to this Notice of Intent no later than 9:00 AM Eastern Standard Time on 29 December 2025 by email to Cornelius.N.Claiborne@uscg.mil; no telephone communications will be entertained. The subject line in the email shall state "Response to Notice of Intent – OEM Electric Water Heater" All information submitted should support the offeror's capability to provide the supplies and services required and shall be furnished at no cost to the Government. The Government reserves the right to cancel the sole source award. The anticipated primary North American Classification Systems (NAICS) code is 333414 - Heating Equipment (except Warm Air Furnaces) Manufacturing with a small business size standard of 500 employees.
