Nature of Requirements:

The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.

The Correctional Service Canada is mandated, under the Corrections and Conditional Release Act (CCRA), to “provide every inmate with essential health care and reasonable access to non-essential mental health care”. In broad terms, health care means medical, dental, mental health care and public health services. During the period of incarceration, inmates are provided with a range of coordinated health services that are accessible, affordable, and appropriate to the correctional environment.

Objectives: To provide Diabetes Foot Care to offenders at all Institutions in the Ontario Region including those in the Kingston area: Bath Institution, Collins Bay Institution, Joyceville Institution, Millhaven Institution, and the Regional Treatment Centre, and at Warkworth Institution, located near Campbellford, Ontario, Grand Valley Institution located in Kitchener, Ontario and Beaver Creek Institutions in Gravenhurst Ontario.

Deliverables: The contractor must provide foot care to the offender population in accordance with professionally accepted standards including documentation and communication of findings to the interprofessional team.

Any conditions for participation of suppliers not specified in solicitation documentation: none.
