University of Calgary - Request for Proposal - Steam Sterilizer

The Faculty of Science at University of Calgary (UCalgary) intends to purchase a steam sterilizer. The faculty currently operates multiple Steris autoclave units in its core autoclave facility, which supports numerous researcher groups in the Faculties of Science and Engineering, as well as serves as a backup facility for the Animal Care Unit. The equipment must be compatible with the current infrastructure and consistent with the current unit’s programming. Given the critical importance of the autoclave facility in sterilizing biohazardous waste, it is paramount that equipment downtime is minimized; as such, a vendor with local service engineers is a critical requirement to ensure service engineers are able to come onsite urgently for troubleshooting and or maintenance/repairs to keep operations running smoothly.
