RFB - Arcata Community Center Lighting Efficiency Improvements

The City of Arcata (City) is soliciting bids for the Arcata Community Center Lighting Efficiency Improvements Project. The Project includes lighting efficiency upgrades to existing light fixtures at the Arcata Community Center located at 321 Dr. M.L.K. Jr Parkway in Arcata, California.

The Work consists of lamp or fixture replacement (contractor’s option unless otherwise noted) of existing light fixtures with equivalent LED lamp or LED fixture as outlined in Attachment A: Scope of Work.

A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the job site: 300 Dr. MLK Parkway, Arcata, CA.

Projected duration of this project is January through May 2025.

Proposals will be received at the City Manager’s Office, 736 F Street, Arcata, California until 11 AM on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. Proposals must be submitted within a sealed envelope labeled: “Arcata Community Center Lighting Efficiency Improvements.” All responses must be made on the Bid Proposal and Schedule provided in Attachment B to be considered for award.

Contractors must possess a Class C-10 Electrical Contractor’s License, possess a valid Business License from the City of Arcata prior to commencing work, and demonstrate the necessary qualifications to complete the work described in the Scope of Work in Attachment A. The selected contractor will enter into a construction contract (Attachment C - Sample Construction Contract) prior to commencing work.

The City of Arcata has determined that prevailing wages apply to this Project. The selected contractor must register with the State Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5 prior to award of a contract.
