Description

A source sought announcement to:





A. To notify potential Offerors of the Government’s intent to solicit a brand name(s) only component for this project per FAR 6.302-1(c).



B. To identify potential sources that can provide an equivalent to the brand name only item.



C. Notification of the Army’s intent to solicit brand name components as described below.





(1) Best Door Locks Notification System:





The requirement is to provide Best Access brand lock cylinders and cores for interior and exterior doors in Camp Buckner Phase 4. These cylinders and cores will be installed in all doors that are neither electronic nor capable of status monitoring via electronic security system. These lock cylinders and cores will be compatible with the Best Access brand interchangeable core and master keying system which provides United States Military Academy Command with a single master key access to all areas of Camp Buckner Phase 4 for operational and maintenance requirements using the same master key compatible with Command Access throughout all United States Military Academy facilities.





D. Any vendor that wishes to provide an alternate source to the brand names above that is compatible with the above must provide a response with data supporting the claim within 15 calendar days of this announcement to New York District Corps of Engineering, Contracting Division POC below.





E. This is a notice of intent only. This is not a request to respond to a solicitation. No contract award will be made from this notice of intent.
