Description

The City of Mableton, Georgia (¿City¿) is soliciting proposals from qualified and experienced public safety consulting firms to conduct a comprehensive Feasibility Study for Full Police Services, including a detailed Court Impact Analysis.
This study is being issued in anticipation of Service Delivery Negotiations (SDN) with the applicable county pursuant to Georgia law. The City seeks an objective, data-driven analysis to evaluate the operational, financial, legal, organizational, and judicial feasibility of establishing a full-service municipal police department, including potential transition considerations from existing law enforcement service delivery models.
In addition to evaluating policing operations, this study will assess the anticipated impacts on the City¿s municipal court system, including projected caseload, staffing, facilities, technology, compliance obligations, and long-term fiscal implications, to ensure that any public safety expansion is fully aligned with judicial capacity and constitutional service delivery standards.
The resulting study will be used by City leadership, elected officials, and legal counsel to support SDN discussions, strategic planning, budget development, and informed policy decisions related to both public safety and court system readiness.
